Program Overview

Since 1983, Camp Redcloud has been assisting public and private schools, as well as special education and home school groups, in the educational and character development of their students. This is achieved by providing a creative, high quality outdoor curriculum coupled with activities which are fun, challenging, and safe.

Redcloud’s outdoor education program meets or exceeds many of Colorado’s standards for education. Counselors challenge students with lessons in science, language arts, geography, math, history, and physical education.

Camp Redcloud offers half or full week sessions throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring. On each activity or lesson, the staff challenge each student in order to bring out the best in them and show them what they can accomplish. Counselors are committed to helping every student push beyond their perceived limits to reach new goals.

The activities at Camp Redcloud are designed to challenge students and enable them to reach new levels of achievement. We are constantly looking for new activities that will be fun, safe, and challenging for the students, as well as purposeful in helping accomplish the goals of the program. For instance, we utilize a near by 130 foot tall rock face for rappelling. Not only is it an opportunity for education, but also provides a positive environment for kids to challenge their perceived limits. Listed below are the activities and lessons we offer.
